Middlesex County continues to experience some of the highest crash rates in New Jersey, leading the state in fatal crashed reported . Other high-risk areas in Middlesex County include Ernston Road, Stelton Road, Ryders Lane, Amboy Avenue, and Plainfield Avenue. These streets have been identified by traffic officials and law enforcement as consistent crash hotspots . Many of the collisions involve driver inattention, speeding, and traffic congestion near commercial corridors and intersections.
